Welcome to Croatan High: A World of Opportunities Beyond the Classroom

Croatan High School – June 2025

As a new school year approaches, Croatan High School is excited to introduce students and families to the wide variety of clubs and organizations that make our campus a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic community. Whether you’re an athlete, artist, leader, future entrepreneur, or just looking to find your niche, there’s a place for everyone at Croatan.

Academic and Leadership Excellence

For students seeking academic distinction and leadership development, Croatan offers a host of honor societies and professional organizations. The Beta Club, National Technical Honors Society (NTHS), and National Honors Art Society (NAHS) recognize academic achievement and community service, while the Tri-M Music Honors Society celebrates excellence in music.

Students with an eye on business, leadership, or entrepreneurship can join Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) or Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), both of which provide valuable real-world skills through competitive events and leadership training.

The Student Government Association (SGA) gives students a voice in school decisions and promotes civic engagement, while Key Club encourages service leadership in partnership with local Kiwanis chapters.

Career Exploration and Service

Croatan proudly supports career exploration clubs such as Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) for aspiring medical professionals, and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for those interested in human services and leadership.

The Future Farmers of America (FFA) connects students to agriculture and environmental sciences, while clubs like Hope Mission and Hospice Helpers allow students to engage in meaningful volunteer work that benefits the local community.

Faith, Fellowship, and Support

Students looking for peer support and spiritual growth can find connection through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), a club that blends faith and sportsmanship. The Student 2 Student club offers peer-to-peer support for new students transitioning into the Croatan family, creating a welcoming environment for all.

Creativity, Competition, and Fun

For those who enjoy a more relaxed or creative outlet, there are plenty of unique clubs to explore. The Board Game Club, Chess Club, and Plane Club offer regular gatherings to play, compete, and share interests. The National History Day Club allows students to dive into historical research and compete on a national stage.

The Croatan Crazies, a spirited student fan club, brings energy to athletic events and rallies, fostering school pride. Artists can thrive in the National Honors Art Society, while outdoor enthusiasts can find adventure with the Trailblazer Outdoor Club and the Jeep Club. The Frisbee Club provides friendly competition and fitness through ultimate frisbee matches.

A Place for Everyone

With more than 20 clubs and student organizations, Croatan High School encourages every student to get involved and explore their interests outside the classroom. Participation in clubs not only builds friendships and enhances resumes but also cultivates the leadership, teamwork, and service values that are central to our school’s mission.

We invite all students and families to attend our upcoming Club Fair and see firsthand the incredible opportunities waiting for them at Croatan. Let this be the year you find your passion, make a difference, and become an active part of our thriving school community.

Welcome to Croatan—where your journey begins!
