GRADUATION HONORS


GPA Requirements for Graduation Honors Recognition:

summa cum laude - 4.5

magna cum laude - 4.4

cum laude - 4.3

Students graduating with these honors will be recognized with a gold (summa cum laude) silver (magna cum laude) or white (cum laude) stole.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian will no longer be recognized as of the 2018-2019 school year. The Latin Honors system is implemented county-wide.

Students must have a minimum of 32 credits to be eligible.

 

APPROVED GRADUATION REGALIA


The graduation regalia from the following groups are permitted:

Academic Achievement

Beta Club

National Art Honor Society

National Technical Honor Society

Tri-M

County Board Cord

Latin Honor Stoles

 

GRADUATION SPEECHES


The top ten students (GPA ties at the tenth spot will be included) at the end of the fall semester will have an opportunity to craft and deliver the senior student graduation speech. There will be an application and selection process by the English department lead by the graduation advisors, Ms. Edge and Ms. Gartner. Information will be provided to those students closer to that time.

 

GRADUATION MARSHALS


Junior class graduation marshals will be the top ten students in the class. If there is a GPA tie at the 10th spot, all with that GPA will be included.
